Okay here's what I can remember, as have started listing all the books I read in 2012, to see how many books I get through in a year, though clearly not reading as much as you are....how do you find the time??

I could go on. I've been keeping a list of the books I've read for ages, so I could probably track my "evolution" over the course of close to ten years.

Off the top of my head-I read about three Agatha Christie books, the five book Skulduggery Pleasant series, Len Deighton's Billion Dollar Brain, and awesome mystery/adventure The Black Cross. Of course, that's not all I read, I read heaps more!
ReplyDeleteOk missy. Currently reading book two of The Hunger Games trilogy, but here is what I have on my nightstand currently in the que: Middlesex, World War Z, The Lost City of Z, The Wind and the Willows, The Gospel according to Coco Chanel, The Mirror Effect, and Champagne: how the worlds most glamorous wines triumphed over hardship and war. Good times.

ReplyDeleteJenn: 212 books, eh? I suspected as much, you little closet intellectual. You got me beat by a fair portion (a really fair portion). My curse is that I am a very slow reader. Curses!
ReplyDelete1. The One From the Other: A Burnie Gunther Novel by Philip Kerr
2. Stalin’s Ghost by Martin Cruz Smith
3. Wolves Eat Dogs by Martin Cruz Smith
4. Billy Bathgate: A Novel by E. L. Doctorow
5. The Bounty Hunters by Elmore Leonard
6. Killing Texas Bob by Ralph Cotton
7. Lawman From Nogales by Ralph Cotton
8. The Branch and the Scaffold by Loren D. Estleman
9. Stamping Ground by Loren D. Estleman
10. Stand Down by Don Penleton
Just a PS: Stand Down is a Mack Bolan/Excecutioner novel actually written by John Helfers (Don Pendleton was the creator of the Mack Bolan character and, for copyright reasons, is the listed "author." The Executioner books, featuring Mack Bolan, are written by a stable of writers). For pure military Hu-rah and bloody action, the Bolan novels are a very, very guilty pleasure.

ReplyDeleteI read a book about three years ago and it took me over a year to finish it. I'm not too keen on books nowadays. I have, however, downloaded all the available James Herbert horrors just for the sake of nostalgia. I read them all when they came out.
