New VHS collection additions

I took Bruce out for Vietnamese food and wine for his birfday tonite and then we went to the local old school throwback video store that's like five blocks from my house. Here's what I got out of them for nine bucks! THE CLOWN MURDERS starring John Candy, blogworthy alone just based on the fact that it's got killer clowns and John Candy. THE WITCH WHO CAME FROM THE SEA which I've coveted for awhile since I read about in my Nightmare USA book. THE LEGEND OF BIGFOOT big box, so sweet and WATCH ME WHILE I KILL, which I know I've heard about and wanted to see forever for whatever reason. And all for the low low price of nine dollars!! Sweet! I couldn't have been more pleased. Clamshells, big boxes, and spicy cuisine. Who could ask for anything else?

I love it when I have a good night off.

Please to note a very fat 31-pound Tuna Cat in the frame outside the pic. Very nice.

  1. Your adorable cat completes the picture in a certain magical way.

  2. It's hard to take a photo around here without capturing a cat in it. Especially Tuna because he is so large. :)

Jenn, i was just wondering whether you are still using a CRT television in conjuction with your VHS player or have you moved on to LCD or Plasma? because i still think the picture quality on CRT tv`s is still better than the picture quality on LCD or Plasma especially when being used with a VHS player. By the way, is he called "TUNA" because he eats vast amounts of "TUNA" or because hes a fan of Steve Martin?.

  4. I have a flat screen tv, that I purchased last year, and I think it' pretty nice. I don't really watch tv, persay, like seriously, I think we have cable, but I honestly wouldn't know. And it's dumb that I have a nice tv anyway, because I mostly watch VHS. But whatever...

Tuna's name is Tuna because he is. There's no reference to anything there. He is just a fat Tuna. I do have Bela and an October, though. But also a Moochie and a Deniro.

Jenn, Little darlin`, i whole-heartedly agree with you about broadcast television being a ludicrous out-moded anachronism from a by-gone era (i only watch cult DVD`s on my TV just like you do with VHS). There was something i wanted your opinion on, to me its obvious that everything on broadcast television represents lies, hypocrisy, absurdities and above all "THE PAST" where-as all the hard-core pornography on the internet represents the truth and above all "THE FUTURE", i just wondered whether you agreed?.

  8. The cover for WATCH ME WHEN I KILL gave me nightmares as a kid. I saw it at a rental store in the early 80's and was never quite the same after that.

  9. Too bad the movie, or at least the copy I watched, was so poorly edited it made little to no sense. Very confusing. I couldn't even tell you one thing about it other than that and I recently watched it. But I do love that it traumatized you as a youth. The cover for 2000 MANIACS did that to me long ago as well.

  10. I actually don't know if I've ever even seen WATCH ME WHEN I KILL-- the scars run THAT deep!

CARRIE was another video cover that fucked me up pretty bad.
