New Tattoos!

Photos were taken maybe an hour or so after I got them done, so they are kinda gross, but whatever. These are horror tattoos and this is a horror blog so you guys will be fine with a little blood, tattooed on or coming from me. Now I finally have a tribute to the slasher side of my fan-dom. On my neck. Knuckles (possibly) up next.

  1. Mein gott!! That's so cool! What's up for the knuckles? A green goo spewing Linda Blair portrait? LOL.

  2. Fun lookin', huh? And it really wasn't that bad, pain-wise. It was more annoying than anything else. Actually one of the easiest tattoos I've ever gotten. Weird.

I've decided on words for my knuckles - 'PURR' and 'HISS,' since I'm a crazy cat lady and all.

  3. Jenn: Young lady, why aren't these covered with a patch and an antibiotic ointment if only an hour old? Pretty, though. The chainsaw earring is awesome. Idle question - do you ever worry about future job interviews for a "straight" job? That's right - I'm a professional wet blanket. Plus, I've had a few beers and am shooting from the hip.

  4. Mykal, they were covered in bandages but I had lunch and then went to work to show off and as long as I put ointment on them, they're fine. I've had enough tattoos to know how to take care of them. You really don't have to treat them 'that' delicately. No chlorine and no sun. Also, I could care less about jobs and whatnot. I have a Masters' degree and teach college and they don't care. Also, I bartend in the rest of my spare time (read: most of my spare time) and most customers find it to be completely badass, if not almost intimidatingly hot. I don't care how I look when I get old. I hope I look covered in green blobs and still as completely badass and have lots of crazy stories :) which I already do!! Here's to lots lots more! I love these. Can't wait to get the rest of my neck and throat done!

    Zombie Mom, thanks!

  5. I remember (years ago) when I got mine, I followed the safety instructions to the letter! But then, that's my nature. Sounds like you got things well figured out. God bless and keep you, my dear.

  6. I have so many, they don't even give me the care instructions any more and this was at a shop I had never gotten tattooed at before. But I'm not braggin, tattoos suck! They hurt like a bitch and as you get older, it only gets worse. But these were okay, as far as pain goes. I took a girlfriend with me and she talked to me the whole time to take my mind off of it all. I still get nervous and stressed out beforehand and like I said, I'm covered!

  7. Cool tats. You've made some pretty good choices over the years. And they (and you) look sexy.

  8. Dig 'em both, but that chainsaw "earring" is particularly eye-catching. Fuck yeah! :D

  9. Thanks, Astro. I was going to go with a machete, but decided the chainsaw was going to be the real way to go. Glad I did!

  10. A master's degree, eh? Teach at college and do restaurant work! From reading your profile you get the notion (or *I* did in any case) you spend most of your time on the couch with a wine glass watching films. LOL.

  11. Jack, yes, I do have a Master's. It doesn't do me all that much good (except when I sob over it before I go to my bar shift. That's a good motivator.) And it also qualifies me for all that couch drinking and movie watching drinking. Classes it up, ya know :)

Morbius, I was actually going to get a whole chainsaw piece with 'saw is family' as the script. I've got soem room on the back of my neck so we shall see.

  13. Oh, wish I'd thought of those. Love, love, love them. This is precisely why you're the awesomest. He he, I keep commenting on your tattoo posts now I'm back like I'm just skulking around looking at your tattoos like a massive weirdo. Off to look at the kitties now. No, that's not less weird, is it? x
