Awesome Idea

In my pino grigio induced, I just worked twelve hours straight haze, I came up with the best idea I think I've ever had. I think I've already sort of introduced it to my good buddy Aaron over at No Comment, but GWAR is playing here, Richmond, VA, their hometown and mine, on my fucking birthday. I told Aaron he should come rock out with me at the GWAR show on October 23rd, 2009, and he agreed, if only I was to buy him the plane ticket from Hawaii. But seriously, if you guys, my loyal regular wonderful readers want to come rock out in Richmond at the GWAR show on my 29th (again) birthday, I'll put you up and we'll rock out Jenn style, which I assure you, won't be disappointing. I am envisioning the hangover now. But it will be well worth it! All of us from the blog-iverse rocking out with GWAR and all my lunatics from in town! The party of a lifetime, motherfuckers!

  1. I'm raising a glass to you right now. A Jenn-party sounds like something I'll hate to miss. Happy birthday!

  2. Darn my bad luck for living in the UK!!
Looks like I will be missing out on this chance to rock out with GWAR and my like minded bloggers.

  3. This sounds like 'the best idea in the world, ever' TM. Alas my friend, I shall just have to settle for being there in spirit (complete with rattling chains and a penchant for severe melancholia). Needless to say however, come October 23 I shall raise a glass, or three, to your good health. Rock.

  4. You were actually serious? I'll consider it. I have a really good friend who lives in Virginia and one of my best buds just moved from Germany to Florida, so maybe I'll make a whole trip out of it and see all of them and have time to come party with you. So you can show me as a "maybe" for right now. Oh and FYI - GWAR is from Antarctica, not Richmond. Sheesh.

  5. Aaron, I was kinda serious. I was even more serious when I got drunk and made this post last night. I mean, hell, why not? It's like two months away. Plenty of time to plan.

The rest of you lot, those across the pond and elsewhere, I appreciate the glass hoisting in my honor. Any time a glass gets hoisted in my honor, I feel darn special. :)

  6. Man wish I could take you up on it but I gotta be out that way in July of next year for a wedding so that will be my only east coast visit for the next year, but I know it will be a blast!

  7. What a coincidence! It looks like GWAR is playing in Little Rock in early October, probably on their way to your birthday party. The Duke and I are already planning to go--we figure if we have the chance to see GWAR live, and pass it up, we pretty much lose at life. :P Therefor, I *insist* that you go, Jenn! That way I can celebrate your birthday with you, if only by proxy. ;)

  8. Hi Vicar! You've never seen them? OMG! :P Don't wear anything you want to keep. The last time we went and saw GWAR it was total debauchery. I couldn't find the car, I think I fell down, and there was definitely a walk of shame in the morning, still covered in black iquor. Good times! The fact that this year it's my birthday, it'll be worse. I'll likely have to take the whole weekend off to recover!
