Spa Day!

Aw man, to be the bat in this picture. What a nice spa day for him. This reminds me, really for no reason except that a bat is involved, about this time that Bruce and I went to Chiller Theatre and there was this dude there that had live bats on display. And one of the bats totally had his dick out and the bat wrangler dude, who was wearing a pirate shirt - the dude, not the bat, kept admonishing the bat for having his dick exposed. He was pointing his finger and literally saying to the bat to put that thing away. And of course the bat wouldn't. Because really, if you want to have your weiner out in front of an audience, you're going to have you weiner out in front of said audience. Who's really to blame here? I love bats. I'm also drunk right now.

  1. Ah, the Chiller Theatre Bat guy, fond memories. Not really, they always stick him in his own room, so you think your going to see more vendors or celebs, but once your in there really it's just a guy with some bats. Not that I don't like bats, but said room is always warm and devoid of any other convention goers so you're kind of embarrassed when you back out quickly.

  2. This was years ago and there were other folks around. I love bats so I can sit around and look at them for longer than a minute or two. But this was just embarrassing. For the bat and his handler.

And for this sole reason, I would never have a male dog. Or any dog really, except maybe a white pomeranian, but it would be a female. You would never catch a cat with its schlong hanging out. They are much too dignified :)

  3. Awesome story Jenn. I love bats. But I couldn't eat a whole one...
Liking your new pics too ;)

  4. My sentiments exactly. If dick exposition is to be made in public, there is no stopping it. The dude should have just gone with it and made a silly joke like 'What do you call Batman's favorite weapon? The Bat-O-Wang.'

  5. By the way - there's an award for you here if you'd like to accept it. I don't know how you feel about these things.

  7. @James. I saw that same saying on a tshirt once, only it was about a cat. Still made me chuckle. I saw Andrew Zimmern eat bats on Bizarre Foods one time too. Also, thanks for the shout out on your blog!

@PofT. You would think he would be used to it by now, the bat wrangler, not the bat. Or maybe the bat too. I dunno. Have you noticed in the last couple of days it's been not stop talk of animal genitalia 'round here? What a weird skewed theme.

@Astro. Does the hedgehog like toothbrush baths? Maybe I should give Deniro one - she is starting to smell like hay for some reason.

  8. The hedgehog is remarkably anti-social. The very second he sees you move towards him even slightly, he instantly balls up and huffs/hisses at you, assuming you're trying to eat him. We just ignore him and pick him up anyway and he sorta comes around, but I think it's safe to say he doesn't "enjoy" anything we try to do to/for him, including toothbrush baths.
